When attacked
a woman must not
allow her assailant
to take her to
the second location.
There is no escape from there.
That is where he will kill her.
I do not remember when I
heard about that, about
certain death at the second location.
But when I was fifteen
an underpaid counselor
convinced my parents to
check me into an over
priced mental institution.
While I sat in the school office
waiting to be taken away
all I kept thinking was,
“They’re taking me
to the second location.”
