Here are dreams built
on a bed of sand:
a ghost ship fading
in and out of distant haze.
Neighbors and friends
occupy other lives, inhabit spaces
outside your walls, and everything else
dusts the ground at your feet:
you pass over each moment
to get farther away from the next.
