Hero

the last dead American hero
wrote it all down
before he died
and no one read it
except the half-Mexican girl
born in the stars
and she laughed and cried
because the dream was over
the great I am
had become unaware
of the jack boots outside
if you boil a pot of blue crabs
they will all stay together and die
because they pull each other down
if one tries to escape
and some of the tv sets
were left on.
