the clouds are not three
dimensional the sky is not a picture
book home is our version of utopia something
that will never exist because to desire
is to desire there is a reason people
don’t follow their dreams in the end to desire
is more satisfying than anything one can accomplish
the intangible summons the hair on our arms
and i think the weather is obsessed with me
my mouth summons moisture summons
floods thunders ice into water
sun reflects weather advisories off my breasts
that never come to fruition
raises boils on my skin knows
people ache for what they are most afraid of
people ache for me strangers deify me rub me
pilgrimage on the map of my scars chant
my leper my leper singing and singing
celebrating like i’m not even there
