Real Time

Pay attention
to glances
unexchanged;

to dry smiles,
teeth and introductions.

Let crowds and company
leave empty space

between twelve-tone
fingertips and history.

Watch six pairs,
eyes and hands pointing
in separate directions.

This is how you watch a heart
break
            – in real time
