Cathode Rays in the Sky

Precise rays pinpoint
Through static clouds ghosting
Upon the grey monitor sky

As I looked up
I fancied I could see
The afterimage of God
Detuned and distant.

A rerun of a rerun of a rerun.

R. J. Davey is a writer based in Nottingham in the UK. He has had work appear in Peeking Cat Poetry, Eunoia Review, Dead Beats and in Inwood Indiana‘s “Unwanted Visitors”, and has pieces in the upcoming Spring/Summer Issue of The Stray Branch. By day he works as a service station attendant, and at night he reads until the small hours and churns out poetry and other little thoughts.
