Water, Water, Water, Snowball

You’re in the room we sleep in once we begin to understand each other all over again. I swear by this blue chair because it’s held me—no, I love it because it’s still here. You’re teaching someone very far away English over the phone—I’m listening to the television voices of people I’ll never see in person. We like it this way—we’re just not sure what way it is & what, if we ever want to, would call it.
