Say Something

about fear
your dog’s health
the last time you laughed.

Answer yes or no
to the next question.

No explanation.

Then ask a question
of your own
regarding rules of order
your seat at the table
the timbre of God’s voice.

Forget your height
weight, hair, shoes, skin
age, gender, job
and ignorance in asking.

Stand up straight.

Ask again.
