Erotic v. Innocence Eulogy

I’d like to remember
The purity of the touch
Of my hands across my stomach
Releasing butterflies
When I was six

The touch of my hands
Across my stomach now
Judge the sensation
So harshly

Everyone else’s hands
Have ruined it for me

Levi Scott Wardlaw is a burgeoning young writer from Portland, OR. Studied in the disciplines of film acting, songwriting, and dance, the common through line in his work is a balance between romantic poetic language, narrative storytelling, and a modernist lyricism bred from his expressivism as a performer.
